CANAL FULTON − A Blues Festival will be at St. Helena Heritage Park Amphitheater, 123 Tuscarawas St. NW, from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Three bands will perform. Admission is free. There will be food trucks and a beverage area.

King's Highway, a Tom Petty tribute band, will perform a free concert from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at the amphitheater.

Bring a lawn chair for seating. No coolers are permitted. Smoking/vaping is permitted in designated areas only.

CANTON − Auditions for the Sing Stark Chorale 2023-24 season will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 13 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 19 at The Cultural Center for the Arts Cable Recital Hall, 1001 Market Ave. N.

Edward Grimes is the new music director of the Sing Stark Chorale. A Northeast Ohio native, he holds a bachelor's degree in music and master's in conducting from Kent State University.

CANTON − The Summer Kids Movie Series continues Monday at the Palace Theatre, 605 Market Ave. N, with a showing of "Turning Red” at 1 p.m. Doors and box office open at noon. Admission is $2. A sensory-friendly showing of the movie is at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Canton Theatre Kids will present "Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical Jr." at the Canton Palace Theatre on Saturday. Admission is $15, plus fees. All seats reserved. CANTON − The Canton Museum of Art’s Art Inspires Gala 2023: Art is Life will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 19 inside the museum. The event will raise funds to support the museum’s mission “for everyone to discover, explore, learn, and be inspired through a connection with American art.”

The Art Inspires Gala will feature Americana-inspired heavy hors d’oeuvres by Brookside Country Club plus a full bar; exclusive preview of new exhibitions, including Family Album; meet-and-greet opportunity with artist Amy Pleasant; live music by The Scenic Route; pop-up performances by the Canton Ballet; art demonstrations; and art-making stations. Guests will be encouraged to mingle throughout the museum’s spaces.

Premier tickets are $150 per person and include a reserved seat at a table inside of the galleries, exclusive beverages and appetizers, bar service/wait staff and a thank-you gift. CANTON − The McKinley Class of 1974 reminds its members that the entry deadline is Aug. 14 for the 2023 Black College Football Hall of Fame ticket raffle. The drawing will be Aug. 15. The annual Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic will be Sept. 3 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

CANTON − Canton City Schools will have a Family Fun Day with crafts and activities from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Munson Stadium. Food will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

JACKSON TWP. − The 15th annual Postcard Show, formerly held in Strasburg, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the St. George Serbian Hall, 4667 Applegrove St. NW.

Admission is $3. There will be 13 postcard dealers buying and selling postcards and some paper items. The facility is handicapped-accessible, and food will be available.

JACKSON TWP. − The Nash Family Jackson Amphitheater, 7454 Community Parkway NW, will host three concerts this week.

Böaterhead will perform a free concert at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The smooth rock party band plays hits of the late '70s and early '80s. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Mr. Speed, a KISS tribute band, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the amphitheater. This is rescheduled for the rained-out July 15 concert, and original tickets are still good for this show. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Fleetwood Mac tribute band Fleetwood Macked will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the show will end around 9:30 p.m. Buy tickets at www.jacksonamphitheater.com.

LAKE TWP. − Stark Parks’ Summer Serenades in the Park with the Canton Symphony continues at 6:30 p.m. Thursday with a string quartet performing at Quail Hollow Park, 13480 Congress Lake Ave. NE.

MAGNOLIA − Stark Parks’ Sandy and Beaver Canal Day Fishing Derby for kids ages 4 through 15 will be Saturday at Magnolia Mills Pond, 261 Main St.

MASSILLON − Spring Hill Historic Home’s Concerts on the Hill summer series continues with a performance at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday by Rock Salt and Nails Band, an acoustic/Americana/roots band from Northeast Ohio.

The concert is free and open to the public. Attendees should bring their own lawn chair or blanket for seating; a limited number of picnic tables will be available. Light concessions will be available for purchase, but outside food and drink are permitted.

Donations support Spring Hill’s mission to preserve the historic farmstead and educate the public about local history with national impact. Spring Hill is at 1401 Springhill Lane NE, near Wales Road and Lake Avenue in northeast Massillon. Parking is available on-site in the lower parking lot.

MASSILLON − MCTV, the Massillon Museum, and the Downtown Massillon Association invite families to the Fun Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The outdoor event will be centered on the Massillon Museum lawn at 121 Lincoln Way E and at Duncan Plaza and First Street Southeast.

Admission is free. Most activities are free; a few have a minimal charge. More than 80 social service agencies, civic groups, law enforcement agencies, churches, arts organizations, and businesses will set up games, art projects, activities, and health and safety information stations. There will be giveaways for children. Special attractions will include inflatables, balloon sculptures by clowns Phil and Bertha, stilt walkers, trucks, a petting zoo, puppet show and the Tuslaw train.

On the main stage and the Duncan Plaza stage, the Tiger cheer squad, dancers, jugglers, drum lines, and Divine Harmony aerialists will perform. Krackpots Comedy Club, 14 Lincoln Way W, will present a free family-friendly show at 2 p.m.

NORTH CANTON − The North Canton Main Street Festival will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the city square at North Main Street and Maple Street. There will be vendors, demonstrations, food trucks and craft beer.

NORTH LAWRENCE − Clay's Resort Jellystone Park, 13190 Patterson Road, will host Neon Nights, a country music festival, on Friday and Saturday.
